RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Committee of QAU

a) The development of a Policy and Strategy for Quality Assurance & Quality Improvement in all types of teaching, research and administrative work offered by the Foundation and in particular for the quality of a) the first, second and third cycle study programmes, including foreign language study programmes, b) the lifelong learning programmes and in general the quality of the operation of the Centre for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning (CEE) of the Η.E.I, c) the individual academic units of the ΗΕΙ, d) tthe quality of operation of the Special Account for Research Funds of the ΗΕΙ, as well as the University Centre for Research and Innovation (UCRI) and its Research Institutes (RIs), (e) the quality of operation of individual academic or research units, such as university clinics, university museums and university laboratories, including the provision of services by them, (f) the quality of the functioning of the administrative services of the higher education institution, (g) the quality of operation of the administrative services of the ΗΕΙ.

b) The coordination, implementation, and support of the procedures of the ΗEI. and its individual units in the implementation of quality assurance,

c) The preparation of the proposal for the structure and operation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) and its submission to the University Senate for approval and publication in the Government Gazette,

d) The updating of the IQAS, at least every five (5) years, with the aim of its continuous improvement, in accordance with developments in the European Higher Education Area, international practices and the guidelines of HAHE,

e) The development and updating of the Quality Manual of the IQAS and its submission for approval to the Senate of the HEI,

f) The periodic internal evaluation and review of the IQAS,

g) The cooperation with HAHE for the implementation of its guidelines and directives within the frame of its responsibilities,

h) The preparation and submission of the annual report of achievements to HAHE for the allocation of the annual regular grant according to article 16 of the Law. 4653/2020.

i) The monitoring of international rankings, the preparation of information reports and announcements on how the University fared, planning of actions and measures to improve the University's position in these rankings, communication with the executives of the organisations that compile the ranking charts.
